Jenn started her CrossFit journey in Austin, TX in 2012 simply to try something new with friends.

I was content working out at the local globo-gym (even if it was 2+ hours/day!) I was lifting and doing cardio, taking some spin classes, and doing my best to meet new people and make myself feel like I “belonged” there. Fortunately for me, I had a couple friends who convinved me to attend their CrossFit gym’s free community workout. When I went back to the globo-gym consecutively for the next 6 days, and didn’t feel anything near the accomplishment (and yes, soreness) I had from that ONE CrossFit workout, I knew I needed to make the transition to a full-time crossfitter. I needed something efficient and effective to keep me motivated, and CrossFit was the answer.”

Jenn is a full-time teacher, and has enjoyed coaching several sports over the years. Upon joining CrossFit, she has competed in several individual and team competitions and was eager to combine her passion for coaching and teaching along with her passion for working out.

Being part of a team was my favorite thing about being an athlete growing up. There’s no reason we have to lose the feelings of accomplishment, accountability, or enthusiasm as an adult…and lucky for us, there is no bench in CrossFit! We’re all able to set goals, support and motivate our ‘teammates’ and push ourselves physically and mentally everyday.”

Jenn obtained her Level I certificate in the summer of 2013, and completed the CrossFit Kids Trainer Course in 2014.

I have had an amazing experience with CrossFit as an adult, and I can only imagine where I could be if I had opportunity to get involved as a kid. Being able to share CrossFit with young children and teenagers is so exciting and rewarding!”

CrossFit Kids is more than just a scaled down version of CrossFit; it is CrossFit designed for kids and teenagers that targets physical and emotional health, and works to create a genuine love and appreciation for life-long fitness. In a group setting, kids participate in fun and engaging workouts that deliver measurable results and help them grow as a well-rounded, “prepared-for-anything”-kind of kid.
